“Subway has many growth opportunities in the Thai market, focusing on a diversity of target groups, from health-conscious consumers to travelers and millennial consumers,” said Petcharat Uthaisang, CEO of About Passion. , at the Bangkok Post.
About Passion plans new branches in major cities including Chiang Mai, Phuket, Khon Kaen and Nakhon Ratchasima, as well as discount stores and some drive-thru. It aims to improve the customer experience and make it easier to find a Subway store.
In February, About Passion and Subway entered into a master franchise development agreement that will increase Subway’s market share in Thailand.
U.S.-headquartered Subway is also improving the look of its stores in the Apac region and in May signed a multi-year franchise agreement with Pegacorn to expand its store network in Malaysia.
