LACONIA – Granite VNA, New Hampshire’s largest home care and hospice provider, will honor Helen Rautenberg of Wolfeboro, Family Support Specialist at Granite VNA, with the Kay Sidway Award at the annual Passion for Caring event in New Hampshire. the agency in a new location in the Lakes Region. The fundraiser will take place at Belknap Mill in Laconia on Wednesday, May 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Kay Sidway Award recognizes an individual who has dedicated themselves to the upbringing, education, and welfare of families in the Central New Hampshire region.
“Our annual Kay Sidway Award is given to the individual who shares an unending love and commitment to the community they serve – and Helen embodies many of these characteristics,” said Beth Slepian, President and CEO. of Granite VNA. “As a Family Support Specialist in our Healthy Families America program, Helen builds trusting relationships with parents who have children up to age three who need support and education to further their parenting skills. . His work is tireless and his impact is significant and lasting.
“Through her many years of working with families, Helen has impacted hundreds of lives,” added Jennifer Brechtel, Community Benefits Manager, Granite VNA. “In one case, Helen worked with a mother who had minimal family support and no secure accommodation. Thanks to her work, Helen helped this mother to receive the necessary prenatal care, housing and was able to take courses to continue her education. Since working with Helen, this mother has finished school, graduated, has a full-time job and owns her own home in the area. Helen gave her the support she needed to help her succeed.
In addition to the presentation, there will be hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, as well as a silent auction.
