JOSEPH GUILLORY – Passion to serve is a great motivation to focus efforts – Port Arthur News

Dear citizens of Port Arthur,

I greet you in love. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your vote of confidence and support in this election.

My passion for this city and my commitment to serve my community are a great motivation that allows me to stay focused on our needs. I am proud to say that I am a product of this city, born and raised. I am a proud graduate of the class of 1986 from Abraham Lincoln High School.

I am a former law enforcement officer, businessman, family man, and minister in my church. I have dedicated my life to being a servant of God and his people. In my 35 years of service in a leadership role, I have accomplished much, but nothing compares to the gift you bestowed on March 1, 2022.

I am extremely proud of this opportunity and honored to see citizens uniting around our vision for a better Port Arthur.

I looked up this Justice of the Peace Pct office. 2, because there is a need for accountability, fiscal responsibility, and preserved representation in our city and county. I ran for the seat and not for the job. I have proven myself as a provider and have done well for my family.

My sole motivation is to serve my community and make a positive difference in the lives of our citizens.

I intend to do the work for which you elected me with integrity, honor and respect, nourished by love and compassion.

I believe that anyone who comes before this tribunal will receive fair and equitable treatment under the law. The phrase “justice is blind” means exactly that in our court of law.

Decisions will be based on facts and evidence. Judges, juries and law enforcement professionals aren’t supposed to pick favorites or rule for who they love the most.

Instead, we must take an unbiased approach and make an unbiased decision with the information we have. I will honor the oath and the responsibility.

We have many challenges ahead of us as a community, and together we will secure a future for our children’s children, one child at a time.

You have my solemn pledge to make a difference in this community. So please stay prayerful, encouraged and connected to me as we face the many challenges ahead.

I am Joseph L. Guillory II, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our community as the precinct’s newest Justice of the Peace.2.

– Sincerely,

Joseph L. Guillory II
