‘If Virat comes in, he opens the stick’: Ex-England spinner wants Kohli to partner Rohit at the top
Kohli is hoping to get a fresh start in the series in a shorter format and score some points that will relieve the pressure that has been building for some time now. The former world number one hitter’s place in the T20I team is also under scrutiny as he is not able to score runs at a fast pace, in addition to being offline for some time now.

Kohli has played as a fly-half for his IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the past and has racked up quite a bit of success with them as a fly-half. The Indian cricket fraternity and the fans are hoping that Virat will regain his form in no time as it has now been over 31 months since he last scored an international hundred.
The last time Virat opened for India he scored an unbeaten 80 from 52 against England in Ahmedabad in 2019 and added 94 runs for the first wicket with Rohit Sharma in nine overs.
